Unforgettable Experiences

Destinations

Safari Destination

Kenya

Kenya is one of the most exciting safari destinations in all of Africa.  We coordinate travel to all its major game reserves and national parks, including Samburu, Laikipia, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo East and West. The game viewing in Kenya is excellent throughout the year, but it is especially vibrant during the migration season.

Africa's "Big Five"

Excellent opportunities to see Africa’s “Big Five” in the Mara – lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, elephant and rhino.

Premier Safari Destination

Southern Kenya reserves (Amboseli and Tsavo) are among the continent’s premier elephant watching locations.

Extraordinary Landscapes

The country boasts a wide range of extraordinary landscapes, from snowy peaks to rolling grassland to semi-desert.

Safari Destination

Tanzania

Savanna Dream Safaris arranges travel in both the northern and southern circuits.  This includes the rightfully famous Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire in the north.  But one of our favorite destinations is Ruaha National Park in the southern part of the country.  Ruaha hosts the highest concentration of lions in the world, and its mystical landscapes make for an unforgettable safari.

WORLD-CLASS SAFARI DESTINATION

Tanzania is home to several spectacular national parks and reserves, offering a stunning diversity of landscapes and wildlife. The game viewing here is unparalleled, with exceptional opportunities to see black rhinos, wild dogs, the great cats and every other animal on the safari goer’s list.

THE LEGENDARY SERENGETI

Rolling grasslands with great herds of wildebeest and zebra. The wide open terrain is also perfect habitat for Africa’s predators.

Baobabs and Elephants

Great stands of baobab trees dot the landscapes of Ruaha National Park on Tanzania’s southern circuit. This rarely visited reserve is home to huge families of elephants and boasts the highest concentrations of lions on the continent. It is also the best place in East Africa to see the endangered wild dog.

Safari Destination

Rwanda

Many travelers have described gorilla trekking as something near a spiritual experience. Kigali is only a 90 minute flight from Nairobi, and quality time with the great apes in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is a superb way to finish an African safari. Rwanda is also working to make Akagera National Park a premier destination — a home to giraffes, lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes and a variety of birds.

Gorilla Trekking

Finish your East African safari with two days of gorilla trekking at Volcanoes National Park.

Mini Serengeti

Extend your trip to the revitalized Akagera National Park and see Rwanda’s mini-Serengeti.

Visit with locals

Stroll through the mountain villages near Musanze and visit with the locals. Tour Kigali’s restaurants and museums and learn about the challenges the Rwandan people have overcome to make their country one of Africa’s cleanest and most beautiful.

Safari Destination

Southern Africa

The safari destinations in this part of the continent offer an entirely different experience from our East African options. The Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe National Parks are situated in gorgeous woodlands and along the marshes and banks of the Okavango and Zambezi Rivers. Progressing south, the topography transitions to the world-famous Kalahari Desert, which covers much of southwestern Botswana and the easternmost portion of Namibia. The breathtaking dunes of the Namib Desert in western Namibia are home to a surprising variety of wildlife and many miles of eerie landscapes, including the renowned sand formations at Sossusvlei.

Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe

Botswana’s Okavango Delta is topographically unique, and Zambia and Zimbabwe wildlife ranges through woodland canopy and the banks of the legendary Zambezi River.

Cultural Namibia

Fascinating indigenous cultures, the insular Himba people and Etosha National Park make this stop one of Africa's best.

Astonishing South Africa

South Africa’s Kruger National Park, stunning coastlines and exquisite winelands have special appeal for the traveler in search of the full range of the African experience.
